Physical Examination/  Patient Health Consultations  

There is no substitute to regular visits to your veterinarian to detect disease in its early stages as well as to implement vaccination protocols, parasite prevention, dental hygiene and other problems that safeguard your pet from costly and sometime fatal diseases. 

Your doctor will do a thorough examination from head to toe and discuss nutrition, behavior, care, management, along with any medical needs your animal may have.

Immunizations/ vaccines 

Our hospital only utilizes the the most advanced and quality vaccines manufactured by Zoetis. These are imperative to the prevention of disease in your pets so they can live a healthy, happy life. All dogs and cats are at risk of exposure to various infectious diseases, some of which are life threatening. Other such diseases, some of which are life threatening. Others such as rabies also pose a public health risk. Vaccination to help prevent common infectious diseases support the first goal of medicine - disease prevention. Prevention of infectious disease is more beneficial to your pet than treating disease once it occurs. In general, viral infections cannot be treated, but symptoms may be managed by medication. Preventive vaccines is one of the most reliable and cost effective methods of health care available for pet owners. 

Dental Assessment 

Dental assessments are a quick and easy way to get an idea of what your pet could benefit from to improve their oral health. Education on brushing, rinsing and routine cleanings can be discussed.  We want to help our clients understanding the levels of plaque, calculus and inflammation present and how to fight against ongoing periodontal disease earlier than later before surgery is the only option. We recommend dental assessments on all patients regardless of age if you think something doesn't look right, or just want more information on what to do and preventative care information and assistance. 

Puppy & Kitten Packages

Our Puppy Plan & Kitten Plan are a great and affordable way to get the newest additions to your family on the right track of health. From their first round of their vaccinations to watching them grown into being an adult, our packages have been designed to cover all the necessary prevention needed to protect the new member of the family. If you pet has an injury or falls ill this package does not cover the cost of care. We would recommend an insurance company for your pet if you would want this type of care covered.   (Please call for more information or pricing.)

Birds (Update 12/1/2022: We are not seeing Birds for any service)

We will see your bird for band removal or resizing as well as beak, wing and nail trims. We do not offer exams or emergency services any longer for any type of birds. We will continue to offer Harrison's Bird Food. Unfortunately following the retirement of Dr Hill, we have been unable to secure a new doctor to service our birds for more concerning avian concerns than just basic maintenance. 

Microchipping

One of the worst feelings in the world is not being able to find your furry friend. This is the best way to prevent the heartache of losing an animal. It is a quick and painless injection of a small identification device under the skin that will have all of your information stored should your pet ever become lost. In the same respect, should you ever find an animal with no visible identification, we do have a microchip scanner to identify any lost animals brought in that have a microchip. The cost of the microchip includes the registration with HOMEAGAIN to ensure proper registration is done the first time. 

Laboratory

We have a full blood laboratory and are able to run several types of analysis' in our hospital in under 20 min. We can run complete blood counts, partial or full chemistries,  parvovirus, canine and feline pancreatitis. We run heartworm & tick panels, as well as FeLV/FIP and many other tests to help in the diagnosis of your pets concern. Should a more extensive test need to be done, we are able to send out the labs to a veterinary diagnostic laboratory and typically have results within 24 hours.

Digital Radiography

With the implementation of digital radiography, we are able to diagnose and treat your pets ailment much quicker and more accurately by providing an internal view of the problem your pets experiencing. 

Ultrasound

We have a state of the art ultrasound machine, we are able to safely view internal organs and diagnose many problems  without the use of anesthesia & invasive exploratory surgery.  The ultrasound is great for pregnancy checks,  accessing a clear view of the bladder and is very necessary when diagnosing urinary issues. 

Endoscopy

With the use of one of our four endoscope, we are able to look inside the esophagus, stomach, windpipe & intestinal tract with a fiber optic tube and optical lenses. Scoping the oral cavity and nose can help remove foreign bodies, instill medication, & perform cytologies or histopathologies looking for structural problems fungal abnormalities & tumor abnormalities that we otherwise wouldn't be able to see.

Dentistry

We believe that the dental health of our patients is absolutely vital in making sure that their overall health is good. Every month, we have our teeth cleaning services from Animal Dental Care come to perform teeth cleanings, without the use of anesthesia. This procedure is affordable and helps to maintain your pets oral health with routine cleanings to get rid of excess plaque & tartar that can build up quickly. For more serious Dental problems that may require surgery, we have the latest technology for anesthetic dental. We are able to x-ray and find problems that most veterinary hospitals are not able to find or repair.  Our advanced training and dental machinary allows us to cut down the time of most dental surgeries with a quicker recovery time. 

Surgery 

We have large surgery suite that allows us to perform a vast number of surgeries with ease. We a preservative and then utilize very safe inhalant anesthetics & monitor the heart, ECG, blood pressure, body temperature, carbon dioxide & oxygen pulsimetry throughout every surgery to ensure your pet a safe and stable anesthetic surgery. 

In-house Pharmacy

Our hospital has an on-site pharmacy where we carry most of the medication needed to treat your pets. Prescriptions are filled before you leave the hospital & if a refill is needed, just give us a call and once the refill has been authorized, your prescription should be ready sometimes same day however we would like  24 hours. If there are any specialty medications that are needed that we do not carry, we have a consulting Compounding Pharmacy that will be able to send us the medication needed for your pet.
